Ok so I had to leave a review because I promised and they absolutely deserve it. I personally was not a great candidate as my hair loss was too advanced. All of the top of my hair is gone and they communicated they would be able to partially recover a portion of it but not all so I opted to not have the procedure. It’s all or nothing for me personally. That said the staff was So friendly and made me feel super comfortable. I even invited the staff to one of my performances because it would just be nice to see them all again. I had a great experience as much as my issue was not solved. Luckily for me, per the doctor, I’m not so bad looking either way haha Totally recommend this location. #Blessings and Good Luck yall

I had been considering hair restoration work as far back as 30 years ago. Since that point the technology has improved by leaps and bounds and the cost has come down substantially. I finally resolved to take the plunge considering numbers and qualifications. • I did look at some 'bargain places' however all the ones I researched did not include a doctor at the session (they were only available on standby if needed). This was a bit too much of Russian Roulette for me. • I chose Maxim with Dr. Barnard at the helm who is board certified. This left me completely at ease knowing that everything and anything would be handled without concerns. • On the day of I felt apprehension because I was changing my look, but of course I moved ahead. The map of my new hairline was drawn on my forehead with clear and concise communication. I barely felt the pinches of anesthetic going under my scalp. With my head gone completely numb the process began. I would describe it as a tugging on the back of the head and actually hearing the hair being pulled out like a bright treble sound coming from inside of my head. This first stage lasted till lunch at which point I was given sushi that I had ordered, and then the implanting process began. I do not recall any sound or sense of force sensation at the top of my head. Everything wrapped up right around 4:00. My head was bandage and I was sent home with care instructions that I followed to a tee. • My main concerns included patches in the donor area, numbness on my scalp (which felt weird), and also the healing of the incisions in both the donor area and implant area. For the most part the healing of the donor area and the implant area was complete just shy of a month. The numbness lasted about 4 months (which was annoying). That said, this is different for everyone so your results may vary on that. The donor site filled in about 4 1/2 months down the road. • I just had my 6 month check in today. In my opinion the results so far are exceptional. From the front I now appear to have a completely full head of hair which looks totally altered from 6 months previous. The top and back have some filling in to do which will continue over as much as another year from now. (The process is slower in this area.) I am looking forward to seeing that, but already I am hearing compliments on my looks unsolicited, and I will say that I do like going out without a hat now whenever I choose to. • Would I do it again knowing all the above? Absolutely yes, provided Dr. Barnard is available along with his very exceptional staff that includes the brilliant Yunus. Highly recommended if you are considering going down this road.

The entire process was seamless from the initial consultation with Yunus to the actual hair transplant procedure with his brother Selim in Istanbul and the aftercare back here in New York with someone to keep watchful eye to to turn to . Whether you choose to have your hair transplant here in the U.S. or fly to Turkey for it, you can absolutely be at ease, they are communicative and responsive, keeping on top of your care and progress. While almost only a month out, I'm looking forward to seeing the full effect in a few months from now but in the interim, no one has any clue I even had anything done. Everyone thinks I just got a crew cut! No scaring at all.

I had a great experience at Maxim Hair restoration. Michael, Yunus and the entire team were very professional and supportive throughout the entire procedure. I got around 3500 grafts at the crown and front of the head via the fue procedure and it looks great. Sonor area looks almost untouched and transplant area has been growing nicely!
